The Plan

Long-Term Stability to Support Student Success

On November 4, voters in the Win-E-Mac School District will consider a referendum to help fund our district’s operating budget, which pays for day-to-day school functions. This includes teacher and staff salaries, supplies, program costs, utilities, and routine maintenance.

The ballot question proposes an operating levy that would generate approximately $378,000 each year ($800 per student) for 10 years.

What happens if the referendum passes?

Support Classroom Education: Additional funding will help us build on our progress by maintaining teachers and staff, sustaining academic programs, and supporting the costs of classroom supplies, utilities, and routine building maintenance.

Build on our Legacy of Success: If approved, the operating levy will help us preserve our legacy of success and continue providing the high-quality education our community expects and our students deserve.

What happens if the referendum doesn’t pass?

Budget Cuts Are Coming. Without additional funding, our district will need to make difficult cuts that could include:

  • Fewer Staff: Teacher and staff positions may be reduced.

  • Larger Class Sizes: More grades may be combined into one section, resulting in bigger classes.

  • Reduced Opportunities: With less personalized attention, students will have fewer opportunities for support.

Over time, unpredictable funding makes it difficult to plan for the future, retain talented staff, and invest in programs that prepare students for success.
